Day 28 REAL END + Day 29 (VERY) Beginning

poicityThis is perhaps the first run where almost everything took place in the Overload channel as opposed to usually being in the other two. In other words expect a vastly different summary.
In other words its a huge mess because I have to do this in chronological order! Hang on to your seat belts.
Day 28 REAL END:
Operation: Kill Killer:
- After meeting with RaZE, Claudine, Niko would meet up with Yui, Cloral, and Lilith at the lobby.
- Lilith would get her Cobalt to the lobby and the 5 would get in and head to the Petersburg District. Its very easy for them to get there as there's no traffic.
- What they get to isn't Killer's house though, it's a McDonalds.
- Its not well lit, so at first the 5 person team has problems; especially a bomb go off.
- After Niko gets to the dining area, he finds a light switch that surprisingly still works. With that everyone's able to see all the bombs.
- But when Niko and Claud/Claudine suggests to disarm them one by one, Yui's quick to point out they're all remotely controlled from the same source.
- One of the bombs glow, so Yui is forced to disarm it. Due to the sheer number of explosives, Niko decides its best to go to the second freakin' floor to go find the damn guy. Everyone else agrees, so they all head upstairs...
- ...and find there's no bombs at all on the 2nd floor. Wat.
- Niko would throw a knife at a switch behind a poster, triggering another door to appear as the wall crumbles around it.
- Running can be heard (implied to be Killer's). Lilith would put a stop to his speed with Slow Dance.
- They spot Killer, so Niko would try to shoot him. That and Lilith's Arrow Vulcan would look like they hit him. Unfortunately he used an illusion to trick them as he tries to strike from behind with his Man Killer X.
- Claudine, being a skillful blade user that she is...would easily block the attack.
- Killer gets shot by Niko, buuuuut Killer gets Ultima X off...and only Cloral as well as Claudine can take it; the latter briefly style changing to Mina Zarius to use Bypass. The McDonalds is decimated while the other three cannot take the spell and faint.
- Killer readies his Ability Seal, but before he can do that Claudine style changes to Keichiro and slices through his right hand with it with the Magrandal.
- That triggers Killer to trigger his second phase, which is a more angelic looking form.
- Killer would fire off stop rings at the duo; Claudine blocks with a Soul Barrier..but Cloral has no way to avoid them and is stopped by the rings for a short period of time.
- Ash-chan would intervene and shoot Killer from behind with a MegaCannon. But it makes Killer unleash his Hi-MAT Full Burst X attack on Cloral and Claudine. Claudine would use another barrier after switching back to Mina, while Cloral would use her werewolf form's enhanced speed to dodge it and slash his right mechanized wing right off. Ash-chan would just bounce all the shots away with a Light Screen.
- Killer would use X Dream Wave which is sent specifically at Cloral...then he notices Cloral sliced his right wing off which disables the rings.
- Ash-chan would activate the full power of her armor, and slice Killer's other wing off with her glaive. It defeats the second phase as the armor blows up.
- The armor's destruction suddenly gives a breath of life to the three that got taken out...as Killer comes out in his final phase, holding Weapon X.
- He proves hard to hit at first, no thanks to Predict which Niko finds through scanning.
- Killer would open his third phase by hurling X Demon Fang at everyone, which is so huge that it would require a good dodge to avoid. Too bad for Killer, everyone jumps over it except Claudine...who blocks with a barrier.
- The lag time catches Killer off guard, which allows Cloral to swipe at him and allows Niko to land a Quake Flash.
- Killer abuses his luck one more time by using Meteor Swarm.
- ...And that brings Rai to the scene. Lilith insists Claudine switches to Amaranth around this point buuuuut it doesn't happen here.
- To punish Killer, Rai would use Cut Tendon on him by slicing his tendons...causing lots of bleeding and slowing him down even further. Meanwhile, Niko would hit Killer with Black Quake Slash (mix of Quake Flash + Kurohi). A mix of Thunder Arrow (Niko calls it Volt Arrow which also works) and Arrow Vulcan hits Killer. Before Ash-chan can deliver the coup de grace however, Cloral bites Killer's head right off.
- After the fight...Weapon X chooses Niko as his new master, Rai hands over Ivy's Mulay Doll to Claudine. Lilith would do the same with Cherry Sakoris' doll.
- With that, Claudine would finally style change to Amaranth and use Heal Rain to heal everyone.
- Rai reveals to the five that she's also in charge of the Poikittie City Secret Weapons & Operations Agency. RaZE is also revealed to be part of this.
- As soon as the convo is done, the Cobalt's revealed to not have a single damn scratch so the five head back to campus with RaZE and Rai leaving.
Day 29 Beginning:
The Horrible Return of Kaire Ise:
- One student ends up killed by Kaire and the other is met by paramedics...
- ...too bad their ambulance gets stolen, so the second student died.
- The good news is the 1st Floor RAs on duty (led by Yuuri) managed to stop her until Lavonne showed up, so Yuuri informed Nanako of the situation.
- With that, three other RAs were rotated in. Lavonne would fight Kaire Ise off. First thing she does is Neo Slash her. Then Kaire would get roundhouse kicked all over the place by Lavonne until she's cut down with a slash by Lavonne.
Lobby Stuff:
- You unfortunately don't get a whole lot out of this. EXCEPT, we learn its going to be a full moon soon from Cloral and Lilith's conversation. Pretty appropriate I mention this since the two are werewolves.
- Konata gets a convo with Mina, where Mina encourages her to enjoy her life in Poikittie City; even if the city really does suck.
Elsewhere:
- Brie's gathering evidence from Mill Island. More on that in the next run.
- A shady guy implied to be the Principal is pissed that Killer is dead, and issues bounties for Mei-Liong and Cloral. In addition, the Ils-Neo dolls apparently were re-retrieved and reactivated for use thanks to the Dark Seed Mulay Doll (it exists).
-- Biggest thing of note is Rysir's Mulay Doll is clearly on his desk, as he plans to pull off the Epic First Assault (see: Upcoming event).
Important:
- Skill ranks do matter, folks. Thank goodness not many people break this rule. Killer is actually the first to do it.
- There were scenarios where Amaranth's style would've worked just as well as Mina's, but part of the strategy was to keep Killer from ever using that Ability Seal. Hence why Mina Zarius' style was better in the end because of a need to keep the offense going.
-- Also Bypass is one of the few reliable ways to get through huge AoE spells that are unblockable just like Ultima X was. Amaranth's style is still going to be very useful in this part of the game though; especially since she's a battle priest and unlike Rai using Joyce Claudine doesn't have an innate Holy/Pearl weak to worry about.
- Rai's revealed to have three roles:
1) The Police Chief
2) The freakin' Guardian of the Change powers
3) A freakin' scary battle strategist that writes up the strategies as the leader of the Poikittie City Secret Weapons & Operations Agency.
-- Erratically called the Poikittie City Secret Weapons Operations Agency during the run.
- All of Weapon X's skills have X in them. Even the spells!
- Even though 2 students still died that morning, Nanako's security plan is working. Yuuri and the other RAs stopped her before any further casualties could happen. They also bought themselves enough time for a staff member to show up.
- Next Full Moon is Day 31. This is precisely why that Cloral/Lilith convo made it on here because that could be a particularly nasty day for the Academy (and not just because of Cloral!)

- Sousuke Aizen, nobody loves you. Here's proof:

- Killer's second phase looks an awful lot like Copy X's Seraph Form, doesn't it?
-- You kidding? Even the music was there!
- 75% damage?! Sounds like how cheap the Z-Saber was in Megaman X3!!
- Killer's first defeat was on SSS Season 1's Match 28. This Killer's death was at the end of Day 28!
- Weapon X was SSS!Killer's personal sword, which this Killer also uses when in a pinch.
- Cut Tendon is an actual skill from Elsword, namely off the Sword Taker!
- What Lavonne says when fighting Kaire Ise is exactly what Torrent says in the very last TQ session I can think of:

- The way Kaire Ise got beat up is very similar to how Eris got beat up by Sasuke in CR.
WTH?!:
- WHY NOT ENOUGH AMARANTH?
-- This was a pretty tough decision, but when Rai wrote up the battle strategy to beat Killer she had Bypass (a high end Theta Magic spell) in mind since that protects against anything so even Killer's unbreakable spells would fail. Amaranth's style is still really handy though, no thanks to the mix of skills it has. That battle priest setup is especially handy in Days 31-35 (High Priest (RO)/Seraph (Ringmaster being what becomes this) (FlyFF)/Something else).
- Why was Killer so damn hard?
-- Why is every single one of the Principal's cronies since Bias so damn hard? To present a challenge to the characters and make them advance quicker, as what Rai and RaZE pointed out. :P
- Claud/Claudine's always nervous around RaZE. What's up with that?
-- We'll find out eventually. Clearly though the former's just as interested in the latter as the other way around.
- So why does Claud/Claudine suck so much with Magic?
-- Its not that Claudine sucks with it (in the times she's used it, its been good and her Int stat is very good considering she's just a 2nd year student). Its more like stealing the Change Rohe gem was the first time she's been exposed to using magic in general. As Claud, he got to his rank through a lot of well used and improvised sword skills. It wasn't until Niko unlocked Change Styles that Claud/Claudine got bumped up to A rank.
- WTH why did Claudine get a style that would've absolutely massacred Killer (Ivy) after the fight?
-- For amusement. I guess Killer trolled the 5 one last time before he bit it. Rest in peace, troll. >(
