Day 47

Some parts of it were easier to sum up than others; and take note I may be missing quite a few (Rob's Haruhi bits especially as I'm not a big Haruhi fan). But here we go.


Just Another Morning in a Border City Poikittie City:
- The snow has stuck around due to the cold temperatures, as students have had to shovel paths for people to use so people could even get around.
- Lilith carries Cloral inside (As she was sleeping in the snow!)
- Cron finds he's got at least 4 or 5 bets so far since the weekend started.
- Its brought up how Cron can't even visit some of the people who made bets, due to how the city is set up.
- Anxo's noted to be outside training, but Cron goes to seek him out anyway for a good conversation (since Anxo leaves tomorrow IC).
- Cloral and Konata (along with family) get a nice goofball moment to work with.

Girls Just Wanna...Read Books?:
- Tina waits at the bus stop, but the bus crashes...forcing her to just take the cheap way out and teleport to the mall. But unlike most other mall runs so far, she goes to the bookstore instead.
- And she picks up a volume of Excel Saga (cleverly written as エクセル・サーガ because its a JP bookstore!)
- She has to put up with a lot of fail in the bookstore (or win, depending on your PoV. See Shoutouts).
- Once she leaves the bookstore, she finds a magic ring (later revealed to contain Revolving Shooter) carried by Argyle. Unfortunately he bumps into a member of the Zetas cartel; who he tried to reason with. When that didn't work out, Argyle was shot dead with a bullet to the head.
- Tina sends a message to Etsu as the guy takes the ring from Argyle, so it can be sold to further help the drug shipment to Zanzibar.
- The two would team up as the intentionally bad fight ensued, only ending with Etsuko using Gravity Buster.
- RaZE would show up and want a detailed report on what happened. Tina hands over the ring...

The Drug Trafficking Tunnel:
- Brie would discover a tunnel near the Tung Wah Hospital which leads to Zanzibar. She brings this to Amund's attention after giving the tunnel a good look with her Goggle Eye.
- Amund brings it up to the other students, who by now are helping Niko establish his new club.
- They hold a short briefing in Niko's room before heading out to the tunnel. Too bad they make a very bad mistake by going down it...
- They end up fighting a lot of gunmen who prove too much to handle even for Cloral and Ambrosia!Claudine. So they're forced to retreat back out of the tunnel. Thankfully for them the Change Trio style change to Silver Phoenix members to use the Super Yggdrassil Cannon, ending the mess.
- When Niko and Amund ask Brie to oversee the club, she initially refuses. Rai outright refuses, and Tourne is considered a near afterthought.

Afterward:
- Insert hilarity with Amund, Cloral, and Konata here...all involving what's inside the latter two. :P
-- Well...at least in the very latter case it was just her mom knowing she's pregnant.

Important:
- Almost all the mall workers in Japantown wear white, hence why Tina blended in so well.
- Argyle is the first AU counterpart of an existing character to die permanently.
- I recall modeling the "not really a fight" (read one-sided) off typically lame shootouts found in your awful Hollywood movies where one dude blows away everyone in their way.
- The Zetas are...sort of a reference to the actual Mexican cartel.
- Opposite of Crossroads, Brie's almost never in her office. That's because in my original drafts for Brie, she operates from her house and not her office. All she needs is the Briecave

Shoutouts/Refs:
- Ihmeteko?! READING?! Just like what Tina did yesterday!!
- Try what she was reading about: She read about Serentia...and her commentary on it matched Bit's opinion of it in Chapter 3 of Neo Knights!
Bit: "Serentia…ugh, its getting DAMN cold."
Ihme: "And so the redhead reached the Ice Palace named Serentia...and said it was DAMN cold"
- Speaking of which, Ihme's otakuism really stuck out early on:
"Well see...history is much like an endless waltz!"
-- Well she screwed it up later:
"Until someone changes history here, the vicious circle of classes, fighting, and adverse conditions will continue endlessly"

- "Kinokuniya" is an actual bookstore located in Japantown and in other parts of the world.
Said bookstore had noteworthy shoutouts. Let me point them out:
- I did not know Koshi Rikdo was in a bookstore:
"I, the author, do hereby declare that today is a complete waste of time and is no longer important to the storyl-"
- A spiky redhead guy threatens to have his giant mouse use Thunderbolt on the guy. SEIYUU JOKE MUCH?! (Lt. Surge and Kratos Aurion have the same seiyuu)
-- Further emphasized when the author wannabe says he thought the guy used Judgment.
- What in Smosh videos is this?! (it's not exactly the same as the FPS SUCKS vid):
Executive type guy: Alright guys, the video game shounen manga industry is sucking right now. No more stupid first person shooters mangas like Call of Duty Bleach! So if you have nothing but Bleach story arc ideas, just throw those away right now!!
[Everyone shoves their ideas off the table]
Executive type guy: DOES ANYONE HAVE GOOD SHOUNEN IDEAS?! BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T, I HAVE TO FIRE ALL OF YOU!!
Slightly Older Worker Dude: But I have children!!

- I didn't know Tina was like Amuro!: "CRAP!! It's the White Devil!!"
- Drug trafficking?! In my Poi?! This isn't based off a border city!!
- Silly Tina, 9 out of 10 masked folks agree: They're too transparent to fool anyone!
- SOS Brigade? GOSHDAMN IT HARUHI.
- Poikittie City Myth Busters? But the Mythbusters are already in town, Nanako!!
- "Lightning Witch"?! Oh boy, that FOA class showed up again!!
-- Hilariously enough its a lingerie store ala Victoria's Secret. Well, it doesn't help that Sakura from FOA was insanely attractive. :P
- "Login"?! OH NOS YUI IS LOGGING ONTO MEGA INTRANET WARRIORS!!
- The bit where Rai beats a Full House with a Straight Flush is exactly ripped from Gai Yuuki's poker scenes in Choujin Sentai Jetman.
-- Well, Mason shows up to beat her but really that's besides the point because Rai's too 4th wall aware. So she called them both out and left!:
"お前ら、アホやな。。。"
Omaera, aho ya na...
"You guys are pretty stupid."
- The e-mail Rai sent Brie had the title "The Artificial Neo Fighters have No Cause Whatsoever". This is a twist on the Mystic Enigma title for Chapters 14 and 15: "The Artificial Neo Fighters: No Cause Whatsoever"
Liane needed to shut up:
- "Those who lay eyes on a Gundam shall not live to tell about it"
Scooby-Doo ahoy?
- Niko: Hey gang, let's split up and search for clues!
- Setsuna: Should I go with you, Fred, or Scooby?
- Niko: Go with Scooby Doo and Scooby Dum
- "DAMN THEY JUST KEEP COMING ALL AT ONCE" doesn't just sum up the Zetas in the tunnel; it sums up the Serpents in Endless Waltz too!
- Konata mentions the graze wound she got earlier on in the RP!
- The ED to Day 47 was White Reflection from Two-Mix.
-- The fake was Just Communication TV Sized! :O

WTH?!:
- "HOW DID YOU EVEN LIKE THE FIRST HALF? THE FIGHT SUCKED"
-- It was meant to suck, as pointed out in Important.
- "Why was the second half so slow?"
-- Tiredness.
- "Okay okay, I got a better one. Why didn't Claudine answer Niko's question directly?"
-- It's just as Yui said: Claud/Claudine's quite capable of making smart decisions for situations, but when it comes to themselves they're just unsure.
- "The way Brie kicked Tourne into a wall was absurd! I know she's a jerk but that's unfair!!"
-- Try being sexually harassed by your roommate for 6 years together. This is precisely why Brie doesn't put up with her garbage. :P
